Getting around Laos

Most of the cities in Laos are small and they can be easily explored by foot. Public transport is available only in Vientiane. They offer local buses to some routes but they are not of much use to the travelers.

There are lots of taxis available in Vientiane to the tourists while in other cities it should be arranged earlier. There is an airport shuttle bus service every 40 minutes which will take you to different towns in Laos.

There is no transport or city passes in Laos. Public transport services are to be availed.

Driving is pretty easy in Laos. The infrastructure of the roads are pretty basic Avis-Budget, a Vientiane company is a reliable option for car hire.
